AMSE 2026 Call for Nominations – AMSE Executive Committee AMSE newsletter no 9 -2026

Dear friends and colleagues, dear members of AMSE,
I am pleased to invite AMSE member schools to submit nominations for full-member positions on the AMSE Executive Committee (EC). We encourage all member schools to nominate experienced, committed and enthusiastic colleagues who are willing to contribute actively to the work and future development of AMSE.

An overview of the current members of the AMSE Executive Committee can be found on the AMSE website: https://amse-med.eu/about-amse/executive-committee/.

Members of the AMSE EC play a key role in governing the Association and setting its strategic direction. They are expected to actively participate in EC meetings and activities, contribute their experience and perspectives, and support AMSE in advancing cooperation among medical schools across Europe. Candidates should have substantial experience in a leadership role within their medical school and be prepared to assume a position of responsibility within AMSE. An overview of the tasks and responsibilities of an AMSE EC full member is provided in the attached document, based on the AMSE Constitution and By-Laws.

The nomination procedure is as follows:
1. Each AMSE member school has the right to nominate candidates for full-member positions on the AMSE EC.
2. Each nomination must be accompanied by a short biography and a letter outlining the candidate’s motivation and vision for AMSE.
3. The nomination must be signed by the Dean of the medical school or by the school’s designated AMSE representative.
4. Members of the AMSE EC may also nominate candidates and sign nominations.
5. Nominations must be submitted electronically to the AMSE Office at office@amse-med.eu no later than
23 August 2026.

All nominations will be reviewed by the AMSE Nominations Committee. The final decision and election will take place during the General Assembly of the AMSE member schools on Friday, 11 September 2026, as part of the AMSE 2026 Conference, which will be held from 10 to 12 September 2026 in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Please visit the AMSE 2026 Conference website for further information on the conference programme, thematic areas, registration and abstract submission.
