Prof. Ionuț Nistor, MD, PhD
Professor Ionuț Nistor is Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Professor of Nephrology at “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iași, Romania. He is also a Consultant Nephrologist at “Dr. C. I. Parhon” Clinical Hospital and Director of the MAVIS Technology Transfer Centre. His academic and research activity focuses on nephrology, evidence-based medicine, clinical epidemiology, systematic reviews and clinical practice guideline development.
Professor Nistor is Deputy Director of Cochrane Romania and a long-standing member of the Executive Committee of European Renal Best Practice, the guideline body of the European Renal Association. He is also a member of Romania’s National Council for Scientific Research and Secretary of the Romanian Society of Nephrology. He has extensive experience in academic governance, medical education, research methodology and international scientific collaboration.
Professor Ionuț Nistor was elected Auditor of the AMSE Executive Committee on 11 September 2026.
