AMSE Newsletter (via Rapidmail)

DATA PROTECTION DECLARATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE EU GDPR

1. Newsletter

When you subscribe to the AMSE newsletter, the data entered in the respective input mask is transmitted to the controller responsible for processing. Registration for our newsletter is carried out using a double opt-in procedure. This means that after registering, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary to prevent anyone from registering with someone else’s email address.

When you register for the newsletter, the user’s IP address and the date and time of registration are stored. This serves to prevent misuse of the services or the email address of the person concerned. The data will not be passed on to third parties. An exception is made if there is a legal obligation to pass on the data. The data will be used exclusively for sending the newsletter.

You can cancel your subscription to the newsletter at any time. You can also revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data at any time. You will find a link for this purpose in every newsletter.

Legal basis: The processing of data after registering for the newsletter is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Your contact details will be deleted when you revoke your consent.

1.1 Use of rapidmail

Description and purpose: We use rapidmail to send newsletters. The provider is rapidmail GmbH, Wentzingerstraße 21, 79106 Freiburg, Germany. Among other things, rapidmail is used to organize and analyze the sending of newsletters. The data you enter for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter is stored on rapidmail’s servers in Germany.

If you do not want rapidmail to analyze your data, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a link for this purpose in every newsletter message.

For analysis purposes, emails sent with rapidmail contain a tracking pixel that connects to rapidmail’s servers when the email is opened. This allows us to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened. With the help of rapidmail, we can also determine whether and which links in the newsletter message have been clicked on.

Optionally, links in the email can be set as tracking links, which can be used to count your clicks.

Legal basis: The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

Recipient: The recipient of the data is rapidmail GmbH.

Transfer to third countries: The data will not be transferred to third countries.

Duration: The data stored by us within the scope of your consent for the purpose of the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from both our servers and the servers of rapidmail after you unsubscribe.

Specifically, you have the following rights:

– Right to information, Art. 15 GDPR: You have the right to information about the personal data stored about you.

– Right to rectification, Art. 16 GDPR: If you discover that incorrect data about you is being processed, you can request that it be corrected. Incomplete data must be completed, taking into account the purpose of the processing.

– Right to erasure, Art. 17 GDPR: You have the right to request the erasure of your data if there are specific reasons for doing so. This is particularly the case if the data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was originally collected or processed.

– Right to restriction of processing, Art. 18 GDPR: You have the right to restrict the processing of your data. This means that your data will not be deleted, but will be marked to restrict its further processing or use.
